Throughout these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”), “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Veiled Riches, and “you” and “your” refer to the customer.

These Terms apply to your use of our website and purchases made through it.

By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or other applicable laws.

Use of the Website

You must be at least 16 years old to place an order. Customers under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You agree not to use our website to:

Orders and Product Information

By placing an order, you offer to purchase the selected products at the prices displayed during checkout, including applicable taxes and delivery charges.

A binding contract is formed when we accept your order and issue an order confirmation.

Fraudulent or unauthorised activity is reasonably suspected.

Circumstances beyond our reasonable control prevent fulfilment.

If we cancel an order after receiving payment, we will provide a full refund, including any delivery charges paid for that order.

Handmade Jewellery and Natural Gemstones

Our collection includes handmade jewellery, natural gemstones and one-of-a-kind pieces.

Due to the individual nature of our jewellery:

Minor variations in colour, texture, gemstone size, shape or setting may occur between handmade pieces.

Natural gemstones may contain inclusions, colour variations and other unique characteristics.

Enamelled pieces may experience wear or chipping depending on use and care.

Handcrafted pieces may display subtle variations reflecting their individual craftsmanship.

Product photographs are intended to represent each item as accurately as possible. One-of-a-kind pieces are photographed individually unless otherwise stated.

Colours may vary slightly due to lighting and screen settings.

These characteristics do not exclude your rights if an item is faulty, materially different from its description or otherwise fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee.

Pricing and Payment

All prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.

Payment is required at checkout using the available payment methods.

Third-party payment providers may have their own terms and conditions. We do not store full credit card details.

International orders may attract customs duties, import taxes or other charges imposed by the destination country.

Shipping and Delivery

Orders are generally processed within 1–2 business days, although processing may take up to 14 business days during peak periods or where additional preparation is required.

Customers must provide accurate delivery information. Reasonable additional costs resulting from incorrect details may be payable by the customer where permitted by law.

Ownership passes to you once payment has been received in full and the goods have been supplied.

Risk of loss or damage generally passes when the goods are delivered to you or a person authorised by you to receive them, subject to applicable law.

If your order is lost, damaged or significantly delayed, please contact us so we can investigate and provide an appropriate resolution.

Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Returns and Exchanges

Our Returns & Exchanges Policy outlines our change-of-mind arrangements and procedures for faulty goods.

Eligible ready-made jewellery may be returned within 14 days of delivery for store credit or exchange, subject to the conditions and exclusions in that policy.

Custom-made, personalised and certain other items are excluded from change-of-mind returns.

These exclusions do not apply to remedies required under the Australian Consumer Law.

Consumer Guarantees and Warranty

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

In addition, Veiled Riches provides a 30-Day Manufacturing Warranty commencing from the date of delivery.

This additional warranty covers manufacturing defects and is subject to the conditions outlined in our Warranty Policy.

The 30-day warranty does not limit the period during which you may exercise your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, website content, including product photographs, designs, descriptions, graphics and logos, is owned by or licensed to Veiled Riches.

You may use website content for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You must not reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit our content without written permission, except where permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights, guarantees or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where a product fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, we will provide the remedy required by law, which may include repair, replacement, refund or compensation.

To the extent permitted by law, Veiled Riches is not responsible for losses that are not caused by our actions or omissions, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms limits your entitlement to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage under the Australian Consumer Law.

Events Beyond Our Control

We are not responsible for delays or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, postal disruptions, pandemics or government restrictions, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where such circumstances affect an order, we will take reasonable steps to notify you and discuss available options.

Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

General Conditions

Disputes: We encourage customers to contact us first so concerns can be resolved fairly and in good faith. Nothing prevents you from exercising your legal rights or contacting a consumer protection authority.

Notices: Communications may be sent by email or post using the contact details supplied.

Assignment: Contractual rights or obligations may not be transferred without prior written consent, except where permitted by law. Consent will not be unreasonably withheld.

Changes: We may update these Terms from time to time. Unless otherwise agreed or required by law, the version in effect when your order is placed applies to that order.

Severability: If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, subject to applicable mandatory consumer protection laws.
